Preschool Registration is NOW OPEN for 2024-2025!

2024-2025 School Year Registration

Do you have a child that will be 3, 4, or 5 on September 1, 2024, living in Craftsbury, Greensboro, Hardwick, Stannard, Wolcott, or Woodbury? You are eligible to access publicly funded preschool education through OSSU! There are two ways to access publicly funded preschool in our region:

1.  Public preschool programs at one of three OSSU schools

2.  Private Universal Pre-K (UPK) programs. ACT 166 allows for publicly funded prekindergarten education. See details below.

OSSU Public Preschool Programs

Our public school preschool programs will be offered at three sites for the 2024-2025 school year: Craftsbury Elementary School (three days per week, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8am-noon), Hardwick Elementary School (full day, full week), and Lakeview Elementary School (full day, full week). There is no tuition cost to attend OSSU public preschool programs. To register for the upcoming school year, download the corresponding 2024-2025 registration packet from this web page or pick up one at your local elementary school.

Private Universal Pre-K (UPK) Programs

You can find UPK programs on the Vermont Agency of Education website. Hours and days of operation vary at the private UPK programs; please contact your program of choice for more information. Act 166 of 2014 provides for universal access to 10 hours per week of publicly funded prekindergarten education for 35 weeks. For eligible students enrolled in a UPK program, OSSU will provide 10 hours per week of tuition reimbursement for 35 weeks. Additional time spent at the program may incur an additional cost to the family. If you choose to enroll in an UPK program, you will enroll in your program of choice AND complete an OSSU registration packet to receive tuition reimbursement. To register for the upcoming school year, download the corresponding 2024-2025 registration packet from this web page or pick up one at your local elementary school.
