Seeking Members for New Portrait of a Graduate Steering Committee

OSSU is looking to identify participants for our Portrait of a Graduate steering committee representing a wide variety of stakeholders, including students, elementary, middle school and high school parents/caregivers, educators, building and central office administrators, alumni, clergy, higher education, non-profit organizations, policy makers, and community and business leaders.

This steering committee will support a process to co-create a vision that expresses the OSSU community’s hopes and dreams for their youth. These efforts will help to define the skills, knowledge and attributes our graduates need in order to be career, college, and citizenship ready.

Please complete this brief survey. Once we have identified a diverse district-wide team to launch this work, be looking for opportunities to join where your voice will be heard.

A Portrait of a Graduate articulates:

A Community Vision which engages community in crafting a vision for meaningful learning opportunities that matter in the local and global context.

A Guiding Compass which defines skills and understandings that students need to be lifelong learners and contributors to their communities.

An Equitable Process that creates a robust and culturally responsive vision, one that represents the strengths and assets of the community.
