For two weeks in April, students at Lakeview Elementary have gotten hands-on lessons in clay art with local potter Emma Podolin of Emma Podolin Redware. The classes are sponsored through a grant that the Greensboro Free Library received from a local organization. Using red earthenware clay, students in K-6 rolled, scored, stamped, decorated, and painted their very own unique wall flower vases. The vases were then transported back to the studio for firing. We can’t wait to see the finished product after spring break! A huge thank you to both the Greensboro Free Library and to Emma for sharing her talents!
