On Friday, September 9, Craftsbury Elementary School hiked Barr Hill Natural Area for a community-building field trip. Kindergarteners, first graders, second graders, and adults persevered through the woods and up the hill to enjoy nature. The students admired many moths, leaf cutters, and spiders, and spent time identifying mushrooms and moss! At the top of Barr Hill, the students built fairy houses in the forest, showing lots of creativity and imagination building hammocks, slides, porches, and bridges. It was a great opportunity for outdoor learning right in our beautiful 'backyard'!
