OSSU Technology Self Help 

This website has a variety videos and instructions on common technology issues. PowerTeacher users have a link to this site from the PowerTeacher start page. If you don't see the answer to your question, please submit a help desk ticket with your request as well as your name, school, and best time to contact you. This site is a work in progress!

OSSU Gmail-

Access your OSSU gmail, calendar, and address book on any computer with internet access. Just enter your Google/Gmail  username and password

OSSU Helpdesk
All hardware, software, or online application issues that cannot be solved by school-based staff should be emailed to the helpdesk. Requests are prioritized and responded to as soon as possible. For a step-by-step on requesting support, click here


PowerSchool Admin
School staff with administrative rights to PowerSchool can search for student-related information, enter data, and generate reports


Teachers can set up and manage their online gradebooks as well as run specific reports about their students through PowerTeacher and PowerGrade


PowerSchool Parent Portal
Parents, families, and students can access a variety of student information (attendance, grade mark, schedules) as well as review and update their account and contact details


Google Applications
OSSU staff can upload or access a variety of resources, including shared calendars and documents within Google Applications without having to download any type of software or connect to a server. When logging in be sure to use your username and the password provided by OSSU’s Network Administrator. Look for “Calendar” or “Documents” along the top horizontal menu bar to view these resources; “Create New”, “Create”, “Upload” buttons are available on every screen.

NOTE: your username will be your OSSU email. If you do not remember your password, please click on “can’t access your account” and follow the instructions. If that does not resolve the issue, please send an email to and your password will be reset.
